Blue Flag came to LMNOP with kernels of a brand story for Faraway Hotels that intrigued our creative team from the start. Starting with the flagship Nantucket property, LMNOP fleshed out a layered narrative for the hotel and named the restaurant, Sister Ship, in line with the newly crafted folklore. The brand tells the story of our innkeeper, formerly a seasoned sea captain during the heyday of the whaling era in New England who eventually settled in Nantucket. Souvenirs from her travels abound in the brand identity, influencing the type, color palette, brand mark, and other foundational elements. LMNOP then applied this comprehensive system to every physical brand expression for the hotel and restaurant, ensuring that the brand complemented the lush interiors by Life House.
