Located in a landmark building, the third oldest in downtown Chicago in fact, Steadfast proves to be a restaurant experience that lives up to its name.
We had the pleasure of partnering with one of our favorite interior design firms, Parts and Labor Design, who created a gorgeous space on the ground floor of The Gray hotel. We wanted the identity to feel nostalgic yet contemporary, to fit within this historic space that turns out such an incredible, modern food and beverage program. The brand mark, a geometric interpretation of an "S" pulls in some of the deco characteristics found in the building. Whenever possible, we like to extend the brand into unexpected places. Since the building is a historic landmark, regulations meant keeping certain things in tact. The old Directory board next to the restaurant entrance is one example of that, and it's a beautiful piece, so we're happy it stayed. We turned it from a directory into a place to bring the brand into the building's lobby space.
