With expansion on the horizon, Glaze Teriyaki needed to re-examine their branding. Teriyaki isn’t always synonymous with fresh, healthy cuisine. But Glaze puts forth a lot of effort in creating ingredient-driven items prepared daily. So it was time to reflect that with a whole new look and messaging.
LMNOP reinvented the brand with a new logo, color palette, illustrations and language that reflected their personality. We broke out of the typical fast-casual approach by using cleaner, more sophisticated typography and colors. We wanted the food to speak for itself. Never wanting to be too serious, we gave a playful nod to Japanese illustration in the brand mark. The bowl illustration (brand mark) also reflects their transition from to-go containers to ceramic plate wear in their restaurants—another effort to elevate fast casual. The new brand identity has been fleshed out over a range of collateral, brand messaging, store signage and a new website. #getglazed
